Beijing mulling drastic overhaul of Election Committee deciding Hong Kong’s chief executive

Beijing is mulling a drastic overhaul of the Election Committee that chooses Hong Kong’s chief executive by scrapping all 117 seats likely to be controlled by opposition district councilors to quash their influence in the 2022 leadership race, the Post has learned.

This is not new, but China is accelerating the move over HK. The Trump administration will be in charge of the business till January 20… US Fleet is becoming more “invasive “, a least more visible, in the China Sea. In addition, the Chinese Foreign Minister warned this morning the Trump administration to stop to the current policy targeting Chinese and Russian groups.
