Why?
1 – The electricity sector in France is dominated by nuclear power (70%). Due to the Covid, EDF, the main French electricity producer, delayed maintenance programs of its nuclear power units, reducing their production capacities.
2 – Containments have increased the rate of presence at home, increasing private light and heater/climatization consumptions.
